Marcom Awards and Lantern Awards Announce Craig Group As Award Winners

Craig Group is a 2022 MarCom Awards Gold Award winner in the Digital Media | Web Element category for the landing pages the firm created for Palo Alto-based advanced AI computer vision company Matroid. The Houston BMA Alliance awarded Craig Group with two 2022 Lantern Awards of Texas, including an Award of Excellence for the Matroid landing pages and a Lantern Award for its comprehensive SEO campaign for Industrial & Commercial Waste Recycling company FV Recycling to increase web traffic and to bring in new traffic from specific geographic areas.
Craig Group’s campaign goal for Matroid was to drive conversions while the company’s new website was being developed, with users arriving on site via digital marketing platforms. Four different landing pages for the company featured a form that tied into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for the Matroid sales team. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tracked were leads from completed forms.
Based on Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goals set with Matroid prior to campaign launch, Craig Group was able to deliver an ROAS 12x larger than Matroid’s total digital marketing investment. The digital marketing efforts through Craig Group have continued to maintain a cost-per-lead (CPL) 20% below benchmark.
For FV Recycling’s SEO campaign, those KPI’s that would indicate improved SEO performance included organic search impressions, organic clicks, keyword rank improvements, and increase in organic conversions.
The campaign delivered page one Google results for 85 branded and non-branded phrases, as well as an initial increase in organic traffic of more than 100% and a 150% increase in organic conversions.
MarCom is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), a 27-year-old international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals. The MarCom Awards, an international creative competition for marketing and communication professionals, honors outstanding national or international achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs.
The Houston BMA Lantern Awards recognizes top-quality creative and strategic business-to-business communications in Texas. A panel of B2B marketing professionals from BMA chapters nationwide judged the 2022 Lantern Awards. The judge’s scores for each Lantern entry were tallied into a total cumulative score, which is used to determine winners of Lantern Awards and Awards of Excellence.
